50 years of African Drama on the BBC African Service

In 2010 we are celebrating 50 years of African drama on the BBC.
To help us celebrate, Nobel Laureate Professor Wole Soyinka will judge the 2010 African Performance playwriting competition.
If you think you have the talent and imagination to write a prize-winning 30 minute radio drama with six characters or less, go to our website, www.bbcworldservice.com/africanperformance and find out how to enter.
If your play gets through to the final shortlist, Professor Wole Soyinka will be reading your work.
Winning authors will be paid a rights fee of £1000, £850, £650 or £500 depending on where their play comes in the competition. They will also have their play produced and aired on the BBC World Service.
The deadline for entries is midnight on February 15th 2010.
