Stephen’s story is the second one to be entered into the Storymoja Hay Festival Story of the Month, after Denis Kabi’s story from last week. The winner of the Story of the Month will receive a full festival pass which will open the door to all events and activities during the three day festival.
What about the rest of us, you ask? Well, I am so very pleased to announce that all members of the Storymoja Community who have ever contributed to the blog, or ever submitted their work for review and publishing will be eligible for a day pass to the festival on Friday 31st July 2009. T o get the ticket, you must first register in the comments section on the blog, stating your full name and the title of one of the pieces you have ever submitted to us.
I will then contact you by email and assign you a ticket number, which you can then pick up at the gate.

Day Passes for Saturday and Sunday will retail at 500 Kenya Shillings.
I had explained before that due to some trouble with our email, I had not received some of your submissions to the Storymoja Writing Contest. For this reason, the session that is currently being voted on now and ends on Thursday, and the next one which begins on Friday, will have two winners each. These stories will be entered into the Story of the Month Contest with the possibility of winning the Full Festival Pass.
