Boniface Gachugu- Writer of the Week of 18th May, 2009

Boniface Gachugu, the writer of this week’s story ‘The Ivory Tower’ is an avid young writer. He is published both in Kenya and Nigeria . He was among poets featured in an anthology of African poets entitled “Imagination of Poets” published in Nigeria in 2005. Closer home, he is the writer of a new children’s book titled “Peanut and the Burning Tank” published by storymoja.

Boniface is very passionate about re-introducing the reading culture back to the society. He also would like to see publishers coming up with books that mirror the current social-economic aspects, governance an education in the country. He has written several fiction manuscripts currently with different publishers.
